Joe Anoa'i is the child of WWE Hall Of Famer, Sika, the nephew of Afa and the sibling of Matt Anoa'i otherwise known as Rosey.
2006: Joe Anao'i was a first-group All-ACC protective tackle at Georgia Tech in his senior year.
Joe Anoa'i played Defensive Tackle for Georgia Tech before brief spells with the Minnesota Vikings (NFL) and Edmonton Eskimos (CFL)
In the wake of going undrafted in the 2007 NFL Draft, Joe Anao'i was marked by the Minnesota Vikings establishment.

November 18, 2012 – Survivor Series '12: During the headliner triple risk match for the WWE Championship, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns assaulted Ryback and took him out of the match by powerbombing him through the broadcaster's table, driving CM Punk to hold the gold.
November 19, 2012 – RAW: Ryback came down to demolish CM Punk's festival when Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose assaulted him once more, and at the end of the day powerbombed Ryback through the broadcaster's table.
November 26, 2012 – RAW: Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were met by Michael Cole before in the day. The trio said they had no alliance with Punk, and they discussed how everybody in the WWE answers to somebody and at last to the WWE universe, so they are a shield, a shield for foul play. They are the Shield.
